Open Source Practices Applied to Education. This project is designed to show how the practices of the open source community(ies) could be used to make a significant impact on resources available to education.
Insight outlets are, for example, wooden templates that traditional mathematics manipulatives may be "plugged in to", hopefully resulting in the production ("outlet") of insight.
This is a placeholder right now--an "expositional gem" is, for example, "that perfect explanation" of some concept that made you finally understand it, or the analogy that makes (some) people "get it" right off the bat. Just as different people appreciate different kinds of precious stones, there will undoubtedly be many very different ones for a given topic. We want them all.
