• Ten-Year Retrospective Exhibit at the Fine Arts Gallery, Indiana University at Bloomington, September 30, 1983 through October 21. The exhibit filled the entire gallery, both on the walls and in the showcases.

From Women Making History: The Revolutionary Feminist Postcard Art of Helaine Victoria Press by Julia M. Allen and Jocelyn H. Cohen

  • The exhibit chronicled the first ten years of published works by Helaine Victoria Press. Fine printing, postcards, papermaking. The opening included feminist theatrics by Nancy Brooks of Womanshine. Hundreds of people attended the evening event. Helaine Victoria Press Records, Special Collections, Smith College, hold about 40 photographs of the event and of the displays that hung on the gallery walls. The collection also contains many of the original displays from the exhibit.
