Women in the American Labor Movement folio, front cover

From Women Making History: The Revolutionary Feminist Postcard Art of Helaine Victoria Press by Julia M. Allen and Jocelyn H. Cohen

  • The inside cover includes a bibliography with several references for each postcard. Printed offset, 4 ¼” x 6”, in a union shop in black, red, and blue, all with a simple line border. With the use of screen tints, more colors were created than were actually used. That is, details like the grapes on the Dolores Huerta cards appeared purple by overlapping the blue and red as a percentage screen to create purple. Cards were also sold individually.
