- Cover for Women & Paper: A Postcard Collection Recounting Women’s Involvement in a Variety of Trades & Crafts in the Fabrication of Paper. After the sheets were dipped, pressed, and dried, the four postcards were placed in the middle and the flaps folded over to enclose them. The top flap served as a title page. Jocelyn Cohen printed “Women & Paper” in red ink, using an antique ornate type called Grimaldi. For the subtitle, “A Postcard Collection Recounting Women’s Involvement in a Variety of Trades & Crafts in the Fabrication of Paper,” she used Munder Venezian. The back featured an engraving of images of papermaking tools with a headline, “Some Implements for Making Paper,” in the Grimaldi typeface. The inside flap provided the colophon information, including: “Special thanks to Joan Sterrenburg from Indiana University for opening up the world of papermaking to me.” The cover had deckle edges on all sides, as the shape was masked off in the form, rather than being cut after drying. Edition of 60.
