- “An Unauthorized Interview Between the Suffragists & the Statue of Liberty” print was a collaborative venture between the illustrator Christine Eber and Helaine Victoria Press. By this time, Helaine Victoria Press had been distributing Eber’s illustrative notecards for at least two years, and Jocelyn Cohen and Nancy Poore decided to ask Eber to create some illustrations to accompany the poem. The image was too large to print on the 10” x 15” platen press, but, after chatting with some old-time printers, they found a way around the problem. Because the size of the sheet, 14” x 18”, exceeded the platen size, they had to dip the sheet, printing half at a time. They printed it in four colors, the poem in sepia and other elements in red, blue, and reddish brown on a speckled, heavy recycled paper called Speckletone. They offered the print in a numbered limited edition of 550.
