• Summertime in Indiana, ca. late 1970s. The garden was loaded with organic vegetables which Jocelyn Cohen and Nancy Poore grew in the French intensive (double dug) beds. To the left is the red raspberry patch that Jocelyn nurtured from three starts and that produced a cash crop that she was able to sell to restaurants in Bloomington, thus subsidizing their subsistence lifestyle.
