• Jocelyn Cohen and Nancy Poore escaped to Nancy’s home town of Chicago for five days to work on the 501(c)3 incorporation papers. Nancy’s friend, Susan Korn, offered her kitchen table as a quiet place where they could complete the complicated application. Korn, a librarian and women’s rights activist, later joined the Helaine Victoria Press Board of Directors.
