  • Figure 1.1. is a line graph that shows how annual total amounts of United States economic and military aid (based on 2016 constant US dollars) correlate with the physical integrity rights situation in recipient countries. Countries with extensive political imprisonment and quite widespread political murders and brutality receive the largest amounts of US aid over time, starting from the years 1976 to 2016.
