• Page 207 →The 1980–81 Helaine Victoria Press catalog featured a picture of Japanese suffragist Kimura Komako on the front cover. Columbia, plus a small representation of the ERA poster and postcard, decorated the back side, leaving room for a mailing address and stamps.

1980-81 Helaine Victoria Press Catalog featuring many new offerings

From Women Making History: The Revolutionary Feminist Postcard Art of Helaine Victoria Press by Julia M. Allen and Jocelyn H. Cohen

  • This well designed, 16-page catalog is printed in black with blue accent. Both Camille Saad and Merry Bateman, Helaine Victoria Press volunteers, donated their time and expertise to promoting Helaine Victoria and the work. Saad chose Komako for the front cover, along with her quote. The catalog offered thumbnail illustrations of new and previous postcards. Bateman and Saad also introduced a separate order form stapled inside the centerfold. There is a page devoted to Highlights from Helaine Victoria Press, giving a brief review of the first eight years of the press, along with some photos.
