Susan Stamberg interviews Jocelyn Cohen on National Public Radio

The day before the opening of Helaine Victoria Press’s Ten-Year Retrospective Exhibit, September 29, 1983, Susan Stamberg, host of “All Things Considered, telephoned Helaine Victoria Press and spoke with Jocelyn Cohen for a few minutes about the work of the press and about the exhibit.

Lawrie Hamilton, the bookkeeper and general promoter of the press, suggested that Jocelyn Cohen send Susan Stamberg at NPR a clever promotional notice about the Ten-Year Retrospective Exhibit. Lawrie wrote a message and insisted Jocelyn print a special eye-catching envelope. The postage was comprised of many different, colorful postage stamps honoring women and the envelope stuffed with examples of the historical postcards.
