  • This issue of Sister­­, edited and produced by Nancy Poore and Jocelyn Cohen, included a special seven-page supplement on women in art. Sister, a monthly feminist tabloid, was published by the Los Angeles Women’s Center in Venice, CA. This is Volume IV, Number 6, August 1973. Poore and Cohen designed, wrote, and curated the section which included an “Alphabet Soup of Heroes” by Nancy Poore and “Opening: A Personal Gallery” by Jocelyn Cohen, plus two interviews, one with contemporary performance artist Laurel Klick and one with filmmaker Christine Mohanna.
