• Photo by the pond at Helaine Victoria Press on a warm June, 1979 summer day. Left to right: Alfreda Duster, Nancy Poore, and Rosa Horn. Alfreda Duster, Jocelyn Cohen, and Nancy Poore had developed a friendly relationship through their correspondence with Alfreda Duster about her mother, Ida. B. Wells-Barnett. Ms. Duster had invited the two of them to Chicago, but ultimately decided to take the bus and come to Martinsville bringing her niece, Rosa Horn. They spent the day, walking, talking in the print shop and discussing Ida B. Wells and many of her associates.
