- A rather unconventional fundraising event for Helaine Victoria Press. Sona Chambers, a volunteer, brought her promotional skills to the press and suggested this fundraiser. A mainstream company, Marlin Art, curated events of this kind for non-profit organizations. Helaine Victoria Press added some of its own touches with a screening of One Fine Day, a six-minute musical film celebrating feminist history and a special appearance of Sojourner Truth, performed by Prof. Erlene Stetson. Laura Sparks, another volunteer, printed the poster in black and maroon on 10 ½” x 16 ¼” white textured cover paper on a Vandercook SP15 proof press at Indiana University using Munder typeface, wood type, and ornaments from the Helaine Victoria Press print shop.
