- One of three broadsides on handmade paper in an edition created for Helaine Victoria’s 15th anniversary. For each of the three prints, Jocelyn Cohen made 60 sheets of paper, 9" x 12". This print was drawn from Anzia Yezierska’s 1925 novel, Bread Givers: “For the first time in my life I saw what a luxury it was for a poor girl to want to be alone in a room….” Printed letterpress on cotton rag, string, and jute paper in dark blue, with maroon initial caps on white handmade paper with gray border. For a less expensive edition, Cohen used machine-made cover stock paper for another 200 copies, adjusting the design as necessary.
